Helen Bourque was born in Lake Charles Louisiana and died in Houston Texas. In spite of severe  disabilities, Helen was an avid Bland genealogist who descended from the line of Peyton Bland  (1780-1815) of Edgefield County South Carolina and St. Martin’s parish , Louisiana,  whose survivors moved  on to what became Jefferson and Orange County Texas. Helen was a memorable correspondent and teacher for me in the 1980s. We lost touch for a long period in the 1990s  and I was saddened to learn that she had passed away
